Matteo Salvo was born in Genova in 1976, and graduated in mechanical engineering at the University of Genova.

Since 2000, he has taught memory techniques and learning strategies, both in Italy and abroad, in English, Italian and Spanish.

He founded and directs mindperformance in Torino, a company specializing in teaching mind maps, memory techinques and learning strategies.

Matteo Salvo is a Master Practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming, and is the first and only STBLI in Europe (Senior Tony Buzan Licensed Instructor), certified by Tony Buzan to teach Mind Maps.

In 2013 he was the first italian in the World to obtain the title of International Master of Memory at the World Memory Championship. In the 16 December 2013, entered in the Guinness Book of Records for having memorized a deck of 52 playing cards in apnea under water.

Matteo Salvo is the organizer of the Italian Open Memory Championship, and President of the Italian Memory Sport Council.

He is passionate about endurance sports as ironman or ultramarathons.

With Feltrinelli has published seven best selling books in Italy.
